My name is Jayme Feld. Before Bloomsburg I lived in Rockville Centre (which is on Long Island in New York). At Bloomsburg I am duel majoring in Elementary Education and Special Education. Right now, I'm most interested in meeting new people and getting more involved around campus. Outside the classroom I like to hangout with my friends. Around campus I am involved in OWLS (orientation workshop leaders) and Alpha Phi Omega although I am hoping to get more involved this semester. What I would like to learn more about my colleagues is what their majors are and what clubs/activities they are involved in on campus. If there's one thing you should know about me in general it's that I'm very shy at first and it takes time for me to open up to new people.
Interactive lessons which keep me involved help me to learn, I love doing hands on activities to learn new information. My favorite teachers are the ones who get the class involved instead of just lecturing us. In the classroom I hate big presentations where you have to go up individually and talk to the class. Teachers who talk at me and are boring are my least favorite teachers and often lead to my least favorite subjects. If there's one thing you should know about me as a student, other than liking hands on activities, I am a visual learner.
In this class, I'm most nervous about being overwhelmed when it comes to connecting my three main projects. On the other hand for this class I am most excited about getting a new perspective on college life after interviewing other students.
I don't have a favorite musical artist, but two of my top are All Time Low and Taylor Swift. As of now my favorite movie, out of recent movies I've seen, is The Help, but that changes quite often. One thing I like to do in my spare time is hangout with friends. When it comes to technology I'm most comfortable with Microsoft Office, eamils, cellphones including text messaging and taking cellphone video and audio. I am also comfortable with social networking, especially Facebook.
